Pushing component innovation to the next level, the KFX 1X Crankset represents the pinnacle of the new KFX range. Forged and then precision CNC-machined with advanced bonding technology, the manufacturing process dramatically reduces weight while increasing stiffness. It is paired with FSA’s MegaTooth chainring to provide maximum performance in extreme conditions, i.e. during your next winter outings!
The KFX is an ideal MTB crankset option for riders seeking a professional level crankset with superior performance and at an affordable price.

FSA TIPS: Cross Country vs Marathon – Key Differences
Cross-country (XC) racing is a competition that takes place in a ring circuit for a certain number of laps and on average takes about 2 hours to complete.
It mainly focuses on power, because it is necessary to maintain high and constant speeds throughout the duration of the race. In recent years, the routes have become more technical with rock garden, roots and steep.
The main features of these bikes are:
•    A travel of the suspensions of 80-100 mm.
•    A very closed steering angle ranging from 69 to 72 degrees, which makes the bike very nervous but fast.
•    29” wheels and in some cases 27.5” with 1.9 to 2.1 section in aluminium alloy or carbon
A mountain bike marathon on the other hand is basically a large cross-country track with circuits ranging from a minimum of 60 km to a maximum of 100-120 km with an altitude difference between 2000 and 3000 meters.
Marathon racers ride fairly similar bikes, but with a slightly greater range from 100 to 120mm, mainly full suspension, and a slightly more open steering angle because there are more technical descents.
