The Charm City race crew always put on a great event and this year was no exception. The fans, the venue, the course and the overall atmosphere was incredible. In what he hopes to be the last hot races of the season, Jamey had this to say, " Both days were pretty tough on me with the heat and humidity. I was able to start well, but once the front group reshuffled, I immediately went into the red zone...and to the back of the group. The heat really hit me hard. What advantage I've gained living at altitude in Utah, I feel like I've given up the my adaptation for sticky weather!" Jamey would finish eighth on the day.Sunday's race was going much better for Jamey as he rode strongly in the main group until an untimely mechanical issued forced him to pit for a spare bike. "It was a few degrees cooler and overcast today so that was good for me. Plus, the front group whittled down faster than the day before. A mechanical took me out of the front group, but fortunately there was a large enough gap behind me that I was able finish fifth." The entire team will be together this weekend in Donnelly's hometown of Boulder, CO for the U.S. Open of Cyclocross at Valmont Bike Park.
