CAROLINE MANI WINS FRENCH NATIONALS

CAROLINE HAD ONE GOAL FOR 2016…WIN FRENCH NATIONALS

Caroline Mani timed her fitness perfectly this cyclocross season for her win at the French National Championships. In the second half of the season, Caroline was a dominant force in the U.S. as she positioned herself on the podium almost every weekend. Caroline then took the European scene by storm with a phenomenal second place finish at the notoriously challenging Namur World Cup. Five days later Caroline put her stamp on the Zolder World Cup, the same venue that will host the 2016 World Championships, with a hard-fought, remarkable fifth place.

The former two-time French national cyclocross champion (2009, 2010) was the clear favorite leading into French nationals. Sweetening the deal for Caroline would be pulling on the Tricolor jersey in front of a hometown crowd in Besançon.

“I am very proud to put the French National Cyclocross jersey back on. I have worked very hard this year with this one goal in mind. I focused very hard throughout the spring and summer on my training and the races in the U.S. were preparation for the French National Championships. I want to thank my team and sponsors for all their unwavering support. Although I am racing for a North American based team, I am looking forward with great pride of wearing the French national jersey at races throughout the World. I could not be more happy and proud.” – Caroline

For the last three years, Caroline has been the team leader and the cornerstone of the Raleigh-Clement team. Donn Kellogg, Raleigh-Clement’s team manager, couldn’t be more proud of Caroline’s deserving win.

“The team had great confidence that Caroline would regain the iconic French Tricolor jersey. We have always seen her drive and give-it-all attitude in the races. It was just a matter of time for her to find the balance in a new country which would allow her to train and focus. Her win is a great win for the team and all the sponsors who have believed in our program from the beginning. As the manager and a sponsor, this is the start of where our program is headed.” -Donn Kellogg – Donnelly Sports, Licensee of the Clement Tires Brand.

Caroline is not done yet. On January 31 she will line up against the best women in the world for the Cyclocross World Championships in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium – the same course where she proved just one month ago that a podium is within reach. The Raleigh-Clement team, sponsors and fans will be cheering for her from far and near.

Caroline is riding an FSA K-force cockpit (HandlebarsStem, and Seatpost) as well as Vision Metron 40 Disc wheels.

Well done Caroline!
